My thoughts and prayers are with you all with the loss of yur mother. She was always so kind and sweet (as was your father). I still have the poncho that she knitted for me when I was in high school. It's even more special to me now.

Linda, I'm sorry for your loss. I am Clotene's (Doris' cousin) oldest daughter. I remember visiting with your mother on several occasions when I was with my mom. We have a cousins reunion over Memorial Day weekend every year and you and your siblings are sure welcome to come. It's at McKinley Park.

To dear Doris' Family, Our deepest sympathy to you at the loss of your very loving mother and grandmother (and great gma). Our family shared monthly greeting duties with the Lundquists at Cromwell for a time; we loved serving cookies and coffee after church with them because they always shared such great stories about raising their kids. My favorite was about the time her children fixed her breakfast (and they were "supervised" by Ray)...she recalled eggs on the ceiling when she got to the kitchen, but said it was the best meal she ever ate. : ) Meghin and I shared lots of songs and laughter with Doris in the church choir at Cromwell, too. Doris was always so sweet and kind...and always ready to laugh. We are grateful for having known her. May God surround you with comfort through wonderful memories of Doris. In His love, Mark, Peg, Luke, and Levi Eblen; Meghin (Krambeck) Pearson & Family

Doris and Ray were inspirations to me. They LOVED: God, each other, their family, and brought sunshine in the form of smiles with them wherever they were. If there was a picture in the Websters Dictionary of :grandpartents" it would be of Ray and Doris. I learned from their example and hope to aim for their standard.

Mrs Lundquist will always hold a special place in my heart. She had such a great impression on my first year of school and always loved catching her and Ray in Fareway for a visit....she will be missed! Thoughts and prayers with family and friends

We met Doris and her husband early on in Linda and Jerry's marriage. We shared a dinner table once in Ames when Jerry was receiving an award. They could not have been nicer people and so much fun! They both must have been a delight to their family! Doris will be missed by every one she knew. All of her family has our sympathies. Love, Bob and Bonnie Baker

Mrs. Lundquist was my kindergarten teacher in 1975. She was one of my most memorable teachers. She always had a smile on her face and had a kind heart. She will always have a very special place in my heart.

Diane,
My thoughts and prayers are wth you during this difficult time in the loss of your beloved mother. I know, through our talks, how much you loved your mother and did not want to let her go. She was such an angel on Earth and touched many young people's lives as their teacher. May God keep you in His hands.

Linda, your mom was always smiling when I saw her at the rehab. She was certainly a lovely lady. You can certainly be proud of the joy and happyness you put into her life. God be with the both of you.

Our hearts are so sad at the passing of our dear friend, Doris! She always was so pleasant and also we remember a lot of fun times with her and Ray! One would never know the age difference between us, she was young at heart forever! We remember visiting them in Arizona and what fun that was! She raised 4 wonderful children and was so proud of them, her grandchildren and great grandchildren! She loved her "dear Ray" so much and now she is with him in her heavenly home! Rest in Peace, Doris! We'll always love and remember you!

Dear Linda, Patricia, Diane, and Ralph,
Where to begin? My memories of your mother transcend my life. As children we grew up in the Thayer School family. Your mother was there as an elementary teacher. I remember coming to your house during high school for class parties and other events. Your parents and mine accompanied the Class of '66 on their senior trip to the Ozarks. I think they had more fun than the seniors! Then after having children and sending them off to school, there was your mother as their kindergarten teacher in Lorimor. Lastly, but not leastly, my mother and yours worked together at Van Gelders in their later years and what fun they had together. Your mother is so special to mine. Her heart and mine are very heavy at the loss of your dear mother. Through all of these years, your mother never lost that wonderful smile and sweet disposition. That is what I will always remember. Your memories of her will give you comfort now. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Mary and Kenny Seales

Thank you to Mrs. Lundquist. She was my Kindergarten teacher at Lorimor Elementary during 1982-83. I have never forgotten her. She was a wonderful person who lived a great life and I am lucky to have had her leave an impression on mine.

What a wonderful friend, she will be missed by so many, including our granddaughters, we all loved her like a "Grandma". She made us all smile, laugh, and we loved to be around her, it is wonderful how God puts a special person in our lives.
